Listing rules
Last updated 27 August 2026
What we accept on a board, what we decline, and how the review works. Every listing is read by a person before it appears.
Every listing is read by a person before it appears. These rules are how we decide. They are part of the Terms, and we apply them to the spirit as much as the wording.
How a board works
- Order is by total money placed, highest first. Nothing else affects it.
- Anyone can take a rank by placing more than the entry above them, plus the minimum increment.
- Anyone can back an existing entry, which adds to its total without replacing it.
- Nothing appears until payment clears and we have reviewed it.
- Every board states on its face that positions are bought.
What we accept
- Products, brands, models, teams, works and public figures, described accurately.
- A description that is a claim of fact or an opinion clearly expressed as one.
- Your own artwork or an image you hold the rights to.
- A working link to a page that matches the listing.
What we decline
- Political content of any kind — politicians, candidates, parties, campaigns, referendum causes or issue advocacy, living or historical.
- Real-money gaming, betting and prediction contests, which are restricted or banned in many markets, and any advertising of them.
- Adult content, escort services or anything sexualised.
- Lending, credit, crypto-asset and investment offers, including "guaranteed returns" of any description.
- Anything directed at children, or likely to appeal primarily to them.
- Unaccredited education providers, visa-mill colleges and immigration-outcome claims.
- Medicines, supplements with health claims, weapons, tobacco, vaping and alcohol.
- Impersonation, a name you have no right to use, or anything implying a person or brand endorses this site.
- Photographs of identifiable individuals, press and agency imagery, and any image you do not own.
- Defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, deceptive or unlawful content, and anything that would mislead a reasonable person about who or what is behind it.
- Malware, phishing, cloaked links, or a destination that differs from the one reviewed.
Boards that name people
Names only. No photographs. No claim of involvement, approval or endorsement. Descriptions should be factual and verifiable — an achievement, a record, a date — not a judgement of character. Any named person or their representative can have an entry removed on request, and the payer receives the unexpired portion back.
Boards that name brands
Trademarks belong to their owners and appear as paid placements only. A brand does not have to be involved for someone to place it, and any brand owner can have an entry removed on request on the same terms.
Enforcement
We may decline a listing before publication, or remove it afterwards, if it breaks these rules. Where we remove a listing for breach, no refund is due. Repeat breaches end in a permanent decline of business.
To report a listing, write to [report@goatworld.io] with the board, the listing name and what is wrong with it.
